GAME NIGHT: Panthers Knock Out PATHETIC Leafs in Game 7, Toronto BREAKING UP Core Four?

The Florida Panthers delivered a decisive blow to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 on Sunday night, securing a dominant 6-1 victory in Toronto. This win propels the Panthers to their third consecutive Eastern Conference Final.

Brad Marchand and Eetu Luostarinen each had a goal and two assists for Florida, while Seth Jones contributed a goal and an assist. Sergei Bobrovsky was solid in net, making 20 saves. The Panthers jumped to a 3-0 lead in the second period with goals from Jones, Anton Lundell, and Jonah Gadjovich.

While Max Domi briefly gave the Maple Leafs hope with a goal early in the third, Luostarinen quickly responded, extinguishing any chance of a Toronto comeback. Sam Reinhart and Marchand (empty net) added further tallies for Florida. Joseph Woll made 27 saves for the Maple Leafs, but the team struggled to generate consistent offense.

This Game 7 loss marks the Maple Leafs' seventh consecutive defeat in a Game 7 situation, extending their long wait to advance past the second round for the first time since 2002. The Panthers now move on to face the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final.
