S5: E55 Our Husbands Don't Know

Have you been in conversation with other friends to only hear that all of your husbands don't help around the house? This has been a common theme amongst working mothers, especially in the last 15 months of being home during a pandemic. Not only have working mothers felt alone in managing the household, but they have also felt like there isn't anything they could do to receive the much-needed help from their husbands. In this episode of The Latika Vines Show, Latika shares the reasons that our husbands don't know that we need our help and what we can do to change that. Latika references the book, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus book by Dr. John Gray, which is a relationship book explaining the difference between men and women and their various communication and emotional styles (just to name a few). In the book, Dr. Gray sheds light on how men communicate and what they need to communicate, compared to women, and vice versa. Latika also references the book of Genesis in the Bible, about Adam and Eve and the various roles they play. From these two references, Latika takes you on a journey of understanding that we have to do things differently to gain different results. And, the first thing we must do is go to God in prayer, asking for discernment, and speaking to our husbands about what we need from them. When we combine the two, we gain the results desired.
