Chronic Illness - A Friend’s Perspective-ep21

Chronic Illness - A Friend’s Perspective-ep21

Today’s question, from Instagram follower @dunn.a1, is for our guest: “How has being friends with someone with a chronic illness shifted your perspective?”

Friends who understand and support you through health issues are hard to find but worth losing spoons for -Sarah Reid

Welcome back! I’m super excited about today’s episode because we have a very special guest - my best friend, Makayla!

After a quick introduction, I’ll ask Makayla some pretty deep questions:

  • Was it hard for you when my health started going downhill and the things we did had to look different, or we had to leave places early?

  • You’ve pushed me in my wheelchair in public and have always been cool about it, but was that ever hard for you?

  • Were you ever scared when I was in the hospital? Or were you just like, “Oh, it’s just another Tuesday for Sarah”?

  • What advice would you give to someone with a friend who has health issues?

And more!

But there’s always fun and laughter when we get together too!
