Episode 19: Iheanacho, Ndidi & Oshoala join the Nigeria Winners Circle!

In this episode, I run through how our star Super Eagles have fared for their club sides over in Europe & Nigeria over the past week including Kelechi Iheanacho & Wilfred Ndidi helping Leicester win their 1st ever FA Cup final! Additionally Asisat Oshoala became the first Nigerian & African female footballer to win the UEFA Champions League as Barcelona thrashed Chelsea 4-0 in the final.

The final round of Premier League fixtures happen this weekend and Leicester are in danger of missing out on the Champions League despite being in the top 4 all season unless they can better Chelsea or Liverpool’s results to qualify.

Victor Osimhen’s Napoli also play their final game of the season & a win over Verona at home will guarantee qualification & a return to the big time while Samu Chukwueze is back in training as he faces a race against time to be fit for Wednesday’s Europa League final against Manchester United in Gdansk, Poland

Also, Terem Moffi (Lorient), Moses Simon (Nantes) & Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux) will all be aiming to help their teams remain in Ligue 1 as all 3 teams could still get relegated on the final day of the season

In other news, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced another friendly against Mexico, taking place at the LA Coliseum in Los Angeles on July 3rd, which should be a great occasion & exposure for the national team
