Ep. 848: History-Based Ultrarunning - Todd Aydelotte

Ep. 848: History-Based Ultrarunning - Todd Aydelotte

Todd Aydelotte is considered a “Historical Ultrarunner”. He runs ultra-marathons that follow the paths of historical people and significant events. From running to the important locations of Edgar Allen Poe’s life to the locations of a series murders committed by a serial killer, Todd is fascinated and moved (literally) by history.

In today’s conversation, we’re talking about Todd’s annual underground ultrarun that he organizes; The Warriors Ultra-Run. One his website, it’s described as “an overnight running experience that carries runners over 28 miles as they recreate the escape route from the iconic 1979 film by Walter Hill. After attending a 1 AM Conclave, held at a secret location in the Bronx, runners dressed as gang members pass iconic shooting sights as they race for Coney Island”
