7. Reviewing My Last 6 Months of Trying to Quit Porn

7. Reviewing My Last 6 Months of Trying to Quit Porn

It's been an interesting 6 or 7 months trying to quit porn. When I hit a really long streak last year, I honestly thought I'd become free for good. But, it was not to be. I relapsed and fell back into a spiral of relapse after relapse. And then I met Mari and have sort of felt like she's saved me ever since. It's been an absolute revelation for me to actually go and get some proper support from someone qualified in helping people through addiction. And I think that was the first place for me to begin, acceptance of my addicted neural pathways. It is not easy for the ego, but to quit this, one has to be brutally honest with themselves. So, in this episode, I share my failing in business, my failures in trying to quit porn, and how things are definitely back on the up again now! If you want to talk about how you are doing on your own journey of quitting porn, get in touch with me in any of the following ways: www.beyondcompulsionacademy.com

4. Where Addiction Can Lead You with Mari Paulus

4. Where Addiction Can Lead You with Mari Paulus

We have some free training over at www.beyondcompulsionacademy.com go and check it out! This was a painful episode to record. I care a lot about Mari as from having many conversations with her I understand deeply how she has a very kind heart. And so it was hard to hear how much she had been through. But, afterwards I did also think to myself how important it is to acknowledge that life is full of ups and downs. We all go through bad stuff, just some of us go through much worse than others. And on this podcast, we have one mission - to help people quit porn addiction. That involves facing a range of emotions, hard truths and getting stuck into facing our own minds. I am grateful Mari shared this with us today and I hope it helps someone get one step closer towards permanent freedom from porn. The alternative could be bleak.

3. The Brutal Truth of Overcoming Porn Addiction with Mari Paulus (30+ years experience working in addiction)

3. The Brutal Truth of Overcoming Porn Addiction with Mari Paulus (30+ years experience working in addiction)

Here it is. The answer I had been looking for. Even if this podcast had 0 listens and I'd spent hundreds of hours recording episodes, it all would have been worth it just to have met Mari. Honestly, I feel incredibly grateful that Mari one day stumbled upon my podcast and enquired about being a guest. She has genuinely changed my life for good. I've listened to hundreds of people talk about the best approach towards quitting porn. But, no one has helped me as much as Mari. She gets to the point. She's helped me understand that this is a compulsive behaviour and it's not going away through meditation or any other thing that improves my life. Yes, I will continue to meditate for one hour each day as this enhances my life massively, but that is not the long-term solution to quitting porn. The solution to quitting porn is challenging, but worth it. It involves: Continuously identifying junkie thinking of any kind Having a specific script to use when urges occur I am excited to bring Mari's 30+ years of experience to you. If you like this podcast, then you can also get our FREE training that we have recorded together where we discuss similar themes covered in this podcast. www.beyondcompulsionacademy.com Any reviews would be hugely welcome as I'd love to grow the podcast in 2024 and doing so requires your help.

1. Rewiring Neural Pathways to Break Porn Addiction with Mari Paulus

If you'd like to learn about the Beyond Compulsion method, free training is available at - https://www.beyondcompulsionacademy.com/ So... this is where it all started. My name is Thomas Molyneux and I was stuck in a porn addiction for 9 years. Mari found me through a website that helped connect podcasters. At this point, I was struggling with a porn addiction and had shared this in my first "Finally Quit Porn" podcast episodes. Mari Paulus found me at the right time and helped me finally quit porn for good. Mari provided me with a specific script and helped me change my neural pathways correctly by connecting to the desire and thinking through the choice whenever I experienced an urge.
