Mile by Mile: Dave Cressey's 1,200-Mile Epic Journey

Mile by Mile: Dave Cressey's 1,200-Mile Epic Journey

In this episode of 'Scaling New Heights Leadership,' host Nick Sellers welcomes his long-time friend, Dave Cressey.

Dave, who has been married for 38 years and has a deep-seated faith, shares his journey of walking 1200 miles from Lands End in Cornwall to John O'Groats in Scotland.

This epic walk was motivated by personal adversities that struck Dave’s family; his wife Anna’s battle with cancer and his son Josh’s struggle with Crohn’s disease.

Dave discusses the planning and experiences of the trip, and shares valuable insights on endurance, mental resilience, and the importance of savouring the journey rather than rushing to the destination.

Parallels with career experiences and business life are brought into focus throughout the conversation.

The episode wraps up with Dave explaining how the walk also served as a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and Crohn's & Colitis UK. Listeners can donate to these causes using the link below:
