Then former NHL enforcer, AHL Hall of Famer, and Head of Pro Scouting for the Boston Bruins Dennis “Bones” Bonvie joined us! “Bones” talks to us about how crazy it was fighting in the minors, being a good teammate and mentor, getting called up to the NHL, fighting Bob Probert and playing with him, and how well he fit in with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Bonvie goes on to tell us what drove him in his playing career, his position now as Head of Pro Scouting for the Boston Bruins, importance of big hockey teams especially in the playoffs, changing positions as a defenseman to a winger in his playing career, winning many Stanley Cups with the Chicago Blackhawks, getting to wear the captaincy for a night in the AHL, the many times he fought Ryan VandenBussche and his strategy for picking up penalty minutes late in games.
