#272 - Saving The World One Farm At A Time w/ Billy Bond

"Save the world, one garden at a time!" This was our slogan, as off-grid farmers & owners of two organic nurseries years prior to the inception of the Alfa Vedic farm. We viewed the practice of Bioterrain Medicine & Permaculture farming as more than apparent flip-sides of the same coin.

On this Alfacast we return to our roots with the subject most akin to our own mission of encouraging community self-sufficiency through the establishment of small, local farms.

Permaculture farmer, and creator of Perma Pastures Farm, Billy Bond, joins us to share his similar journey at his family-owned farm in North Carolina.

Billy Bond is a former U.S. Army Sapper, journeyman electrician, trained butcher, and permaculture designer. Now a full-time farmer and educator, he’s the force behind Perma Pastures Farm and host of The Permaculture P.I.M.P.cast—spreading wisdom on preparedness, independence, and modern homesteading with a heavy dose of common sense and grit.

Billy's family operation is all about embracing and promoting the principles of permaculture, cultivating sustainable practices, and empowering others to establish harmonious relationships with the land.

"It's not just a way of life; it's a passion that drives us to make a positive impact on the world around us."

On our farm, we've dedicated ourselves to living out these values every day. Through our agricultural endeavors, we strive to create a place where the land and its inhabitants can thrive in perfect harmony.
