Pregnancy and type 1 diabetes can be difficult to manage on their own, so when you combine them, it can really be overwhelming. We’re sitting down with Dr. Leslie Eiland—endocrinologist, type 1, and mom herself—to talk about what women living with type 1 diabetes need to know if they’re thinking about getting pregnant, or already are pregnant. We’ll cover how your blood glucose goals change, how you can be become insulin sensitive or insulin resistant at certain stages in pregnancy and what you can do to stay safe and sane during the process.
