The Long Haul Trucker Murders

The Long Haul Trucker Murders

In 2004, the FBI was tipped off to a gruesome pattern of unsolved murders along American highways, and since then, at least 850 homicides have been linked to a new breed of serial killer: long-haul truck drivers! The FBI’s Former Assistant Director of Counterintelligence, Frank Figliuzzi, did his own interviews, research and investigation into some of the most terrifying cases which he chronicled in his new book, Long Haul: Hunting The Highway Serial Killers. He breaks down some of the cases including the “Truck Stop Killer,” who is suspected of killing some 50 women, and who rigged a traveling torture chamber in the read of his truck, and “The Interstate Strangler” who once answered a call from his mother while killing one of his dozen victims. He talks about the FBI’s special Highway Serial Killings Initiative, what makes these specific types of killings so hard to solve, and what he learned about the life, habits and culture of long-haul truck drivers. The Legendary Career of Beverly D’Angelo

The Legendary Career of Beverly D’Angelo

Beverly D’Angelo may be best known as Ellen Griswold in the Vacation movie franchise, but she actually got her showbiz start as a singer! She was a rock n roller long before she ever graced the silver screen or Broadway stage! In fact, it was her incredible singing that landed her the award-winning role of Patsy Cline in Coal Miner’s Daughter alongside Sissy Spacek, and an in-person audition for the part in front of the legendary Loretta Lynn herself. Beverly recounts her days on the road with Rompin’ Ronnie Hawkins & The Hawks, and explains how that led to Coal Miner’s Daughter which in turn led to Vacation. She remembers getting a call from Doug Ellin to make a one-off cameo appearance on HBO’s Entourage, and how that quickly turned into a recurring character. Plus, Beverly reveals her upcoming plans to make a music docu-series!   STAY CONNECTED: TikTok: @ChrisJericho Instagram: @talkisjericho @chrisjerichofozzy Twitter: @TalkIsJericho @IAmJericho YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/ChrisJerichoFozzy Website: https://www.webisjericho.com/ To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. We Believe In Joe Hendry!

We Believe In Joe Hendry!

Say his name and he appears! So we did, and now Joe Hendry makes his TIJ debut! He shares the story (and pitch to Jimmy Jacobs) behind his initial vignettes and gimmick, and explains how a short-lived telesales job, a few words from Eric Young, and a lesson in songwriting from Queen solidified his act. He talks about the text exchange with TNA that changed his life, how a couple of very well-placed billboards outside the Hydro in Glasgow may have led to his recent NXT appearance, and why being forced to sit home for 2 years during the pandemic ultimately saved his wrestling career. Joe has tales about wrestling Kurt Angle, cutting promos with Shawn Michaels, having a hit song on the charts thanks to Matt Cardona, how he’s come to main event the TNA Slammiversary PPV with Moose, and why he is convinced that he will find himself in the ring with John Cena next year. Dani Mo Elevates Pro Wrestling In Nepal

Dani Mo Elevates Pro Wrestling In Nepal

Dani Mo recently set the world record for the highest elevation women’s pro wrestling match after journeying to Nepal to wrestle on Kala Patthar in the Mt Everest region. Dani wrestled Nepal’s first-ever women’s professional wrestler, Baghawait Unika at 5,600 meters in a homemade wrestling ring carried up the mountain on a helicopter! That’s roughly 18,300 feet or 3.4 miles ABOVE sea level! It’s higher than Mt. Everest base camp which is why they chose that location. Dani details the entire story from her initial invitation from Unika to her 22-hour journey to Kathmandu, Nepal to her harrowing flights in and out of the world’s most dangerous airport in the mountain town of Lukla! She explains what it was like to wrestle on uneven, rocky ground with very little oxygen, how she overcame the language barrier with her opponent, and the unbelievable reason why she had to overdub her promo once she got back to the States.
