It's the first podcast of 2019!

Ryan, Geeta and P Mac gather at the palatial estate for a very fun and lively start of the new year. Dave skypes in from our nation's capital to discuss attending the Elias Pettersson Show against the Ottawa Senators, his incredible hat trick and unfortunate luck and injury against the Montreal Canadiens' Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

They also discuss the ongoing problems in Edmonton. Trading depth defensemen at a loss and still not providing Connor McDavid with secondary scoring, the gang wonders if a Wayne Gretzky-like monster trade will happen a few years down the road, sending Connor McDavid to greener pastures and warmer climates.

They talk about the diminishing production of Ryan Kesler, now 34 years old and plagued with injuries and surgeries. Does RK17 have what it takes to play at an elite level anymore? With the Ducks losing eight in a row, it's hard to imagine hockey is very fun in Orange Country right now.

Finally, the gang answer some great Twitter questions, their opinions on more officials in an NHL game, Vancouver's playoff chances and fallout from the 2019 World Junior Championship in Vancouver BC, which saw Canada unable to qualify for a medal.
