"One of my fears has been white fragility and in order to get over that fear of hurting somebody’s feelings, or mismanaging the white fragility, so I had to be like ok girl, what’s more important, white fragility or your own sanity, and I chose myself," says Deseré Cross Ward, journalist, and social media strategist at UT Austin.
