Welcome back to Ontario Cold Cases. I’m your host, Jay Nicoll, and in this highly anticipated Part 2, we peel back the layers on the infamous 1935 murder of Artemus Ogletree, found tortured and dying in Kansas City’s Room 1046.

In Part 1, you learned about the fake name, the missing clothes, the mysterious note for "Don," the diluted sulfuric acid, and the chilling farewell from "Louise" and her thirteen roses. Now, we go deeper.

With information directly from the police files, revealing a secret network of aliases, suspicious alibis, and leads that were never fully followed:

* The Unanswered Questions: Why did Ogletree claim he was working for a "Bond Co." when his family knew it was a front? Why was he desperate for new clothes when he’d left home with two suits? * The Suspect’s Boast: The letter detailing the "perfect crime"—was it an empty threat, or a genuine confession?
