Move around a little bit, Releasing any movements or energy your body needs to express. PAUSE… Stretching, Expanding, And then when you’re ready, Sink into that special position you know so well, And feel its comfort, Its welcome, Its home. LONG PAUSE… Notice the soft warmth that the comfort of relaxation brings. Feel your body become heavy and light at the same time. Sinking into your bed, And drifting off into the night. PAUSE… Breathe… Softly, Slowly. Breathe… Gently, Deeply. LONG PAUSE… Become aware of the thoughts, feelings and sensations that move within and around you, like waves in the sea. Notice your connection to the whole. And your hazy drifting between this world, And the world of dreams. PAUSE… Release any tension or heaviness that exists within you, Releasing it, Dissolving it, With every single breath. LONG PAUSE… Observe your body and the slowly moving waves of energy. Let this calming energy fill the areas that are tense or tight. And then feel a wave of deep relaxation moving through you as your body continues to settle. PAUSE… Gently bring your awareness to your heart. Allow it to expand and open, becoming free and expressed. Feel your body melting into the comfort of the moment. Stay here for a bit, Observing any thoughts or emotions, As clouds floating on by, As you stay here, Deep in comfort. LONG PAUSE… Inhale peace and exhale the day. PAUSE… You are safe, you are comfortable, and your body is deeply relaxed. LONG PAUSE… Feel your chest rise and fall with each breath. Feel your body melt a little more. Feel the gentle blades of grass beneath you, supporting and cradling your body. PAUSE… You hear the gentle sound of a nearby stream, The cool water flowing and rippling over rocks and pebbles. Slowly you walk towards it, And step inside. PAUSE… The cool water of the stream slowly washes over your toes, Relaxing and soothing any areas of tension or discomfort. Feel the refreshing water cover your feet and ankles, Relaxing them completely. PAUSE… You step in deeper into the stream, And feel the water cover your legs, Feel it relaxing each muscle with each gentle wave. It soothes you, calms you, And all the tension and stress releases from your legs. LONG PAUSE… You sink a little further into the welcoming water, And can feel it touch your hips and your lower back. Imagine the water gathering all the stress, The worries, The heaviness, And taking it from you as it floats away, Leaving everything submerged within it deeply relaxed. LONG PAUSE… The water feels so soothing, That you easily drop yourself down further, Lowing your belly, chest and arms into it. PAUSE… The welcoming water calms your belly, Softens your heart, And releases any tension in your arms. PAUSE… Listen to the gentle sounds of the stream, Carrying away the day, And holding you in her softness. LONG PAUSE… Gently and briefly, You slowly lower your entire head into the water, And feel as it touches your chin, Your mouth, Your cheeks, Your eyes, And the crown of your head. PAUSE… For just a moment, you feel the water surround you, Cleanse you, And relax you. PAUSE… Your head rises, And you fill your lungs with sweet air, As you lay on your back, And float in the stream. PAUSE… Your entire body is held in love, Saturated with deep relaxation from the water. PAUSE… You see the farm around the bend, And make your way towards it. PAUSE… A large flock of sheep is scattered across the greenery, Like little fluffy white clouds moving slowly across the sky. They’re munching grass, Calm and content. PAUSE… They acknowledge you as you approach, Unafraid, Knowing you are a friend. PAUSE… As you stand among the sheep, Take a deep breath in, And out. PAUSE… With each exhale, Release any tension or heaviness, You may have carried here. PAUSE… Light and relaxed, You begin counting the sheep, As they slowly wander around their field. PAUSE… One… Two… Release the plans. PAUSE… Three… Four… Let go of the thoughts. PAUSE… Five… Six… Be here with the sheep. PAUSE… Seven… Eight… Watch them closely, And sink deeper with every count. PAUSE… Nine… Ten… Your body is deeply relaxed, And your mind is slow and clear. LONG PAUSE… If you lose count of the sheep, It’s okay. Just come right back into your body, Feeling the soft green grass under your feet, And begin again. LONG PAUSE Now, allow your mind to let go, to release the stray thoughts weighing it down. And let your breath form a gentle, relaxing rhythm, breathing in… and out… In… and out… LONG PAUSE Your body relaxes more, and you feel yourself open, to the quiet magic of the night. A magic that lives and breathes in nature all around you, and is inviting you to come along. PAUSE Imagine an egret, regal and white, poised next to your bed, Angel-like wings spread wide readying for flight. PAUSE The egret beckons you to take to the air. So gingerly. you slide on his back, releasing your cares. And those cares tumble down as you give a cleansing heave. The bird turns his head, He's ready to leave. PAUSE You glide out the window and skim the tops of the trees. There's a rhythm to the wings’ flapping as they catch a breeze. PAUSE Above, the stars wink at you, those heavenly diamonds of the light Below, an owl hoots. Nature’s guardian of night PAUSE The egret circles ‘round the clouds. You pass over the moon like a wave with no sound. Then the egret flies gently– ever so gently– down, Until you both touch the forest ground. PAUSE And you notice these woods are different from woods you know. Instead of being cloaked in darkness this night, The flora and fauna glow. PAUSE You take a step, and leaves crackle beneath your foot. The ground shimmers in gold as you walk and look. PAUSE To each side there are flowers glistening like the stars– Purples, greens, pinks and blues And beautiful sparkles in trees and shrubs afar PAUSE A pine tree shines in green with its pine cones in silver. It looks divinely different, and yet, comfortably familiar. PAUSE And you pick a pine cone up Enamored with its glow Then set it back down gentle and slow. PAUSE Nearby, two raccoons chitter while peeking out from pink shrubs. In the distance, a snoozing mother wolf cuddles her drowsy cubs. PAUSE A doe and a buck pause, looking you in the eye. Then scamper away deep in the night.. PAUSE Now, the bird spreads its wings and calls you once more. Without hesitation, you climb aboard. PAUSE Fly past the moon and trees, back to your bed, with the nature’s magic night cozied up in your head. LONG PAUSE… As you sleep with Mother Nature, You realize one thing. We’re all deeply connected, And together, we sing.
