Is Living With AUTISM Hard!?

Is Living With AUTISM Hard!?

When were you diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD and how were you diagnosed? I was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome ADHD and OCD when I was 26 years old. This came after years of other diagnosis like anxiety dyslexia agoraphobia and all the other things that can come comorbidly with an autism spectrum condition they all kind of came to this moment in my life where the Professionals who work with autism were able to professionally diagnosed me with autism. It’s quite amazing being the age of 26 and then learning all about autism and not knowing what to do where to go from there as they kind of just give you the diagnosis but then afterwards there’s nothing like what would I do after this. You’re a successful YouTuber – what made you start to post videos about Aspergers and ADHD? Do you make a living from the work? So I actually started my YouTube channel almost by accident I only went looking on the Internet after having the diagnosis of autism and Aspergers Syndrome which as it was back then because now it’s just autism spectrum disorder or ASD, and when I came across videos on the Internet they were not really engaging in a positive way they were depressing and the people were not entertaining at all. So I decided that I would put a video out of myself, which was awful but looking back it may know it was my first video just talking about autism from my point of you to give people a little bit of like a insight in a happy way like a more of an up beat way talking about the subject without feeling some negative and that was really interesting. So obviously that became like a big thing when more people watch my videos and more people subscribed to my channel and then begin to think that I could monetise it all by add revenue and branding deals and stuff like that and then it came in like a part-time job and then became a full-time job. Now it’s like a full-time enterprise like a business to run and it’s amazing and I feel just so good that I’m able to do this because it’s helping people have able to make a living from helping people that’s the really good gift.

How YOU Create CHANGE For AUTISM

How YOU Create CHANGE For AUTISM

How you create change or autism with attention online. This is taken from a panel talk at MCM Comic Con London October 2019. I do lots of advocacy work and helping to change the way people who are uneducated in autism see autism. This is a big thing for me and what I do at The Aspie World, as people see autism one way and it is actually nothing like what some people perceive it as. How do you create change for autism? You need attention, when you create attention you create awareness and when you have that you have change and when you have change you have impact. This is the goal of many advocates and I just think we all need to remember that these are the basics of how to change and make impact on the lives of many autistic people.

Halloween can be a stressful time for anyone on the spectrum 😫 and this includes family members of people on the autism spectrum. Some people really enjoy this holiday season 💀👻 but also some people on the spectrum find it overwhelming and upsetting. One of the biggest outings around halloween is the pumpkin patch 🎃 trip to get your family pumpkins for the house. Pumpkin patches can be crazy places, busy with families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦and loud noises 🎧 from farming equipment and animals living on the land. I have created 5 simple hacks to make sure this trip to the pumpkin patch is not triggering ✅ for the autistic individual within the family, and help everyone have a good time. I hope these help you 😁 and this year you have a more fun and relaxing pumpkin patch visit.
