Reimagining Integrative Oncology with Dr. Paul S. Anderson

Reimagining Integrative Oncology with Dr. Paul S. Anderson

“There’s no wrong medicine — only the wrong time to apply it. The best care happens when every discipline works together for the good of the patient.” —Dr. Paul Anderson

In this episode of the Real Health Podcast, Dr. Ron Hunninghake sits down with Dr. Paul S. Anderson, a leading educator and clinician in integrative and naturopathic medicine. They explore the evolution of integrative oncology — from its early roots in orthomolecular medicine to today’s terrain-based, science-driven approaches that unite conventional and natural therapies.

Dr. Anderson shares insights from decades of clinical experience and research, including his work in a US-NIH-funded human trial studying IV and integrative therapies for cancer patients. He discusses how medicine is shifting toward a model that treats the whole person — addressing biochemistry, immunity, environment, and lifestyle — to improve outcomes and quality of life.

👉 This conversation is part of the Cancer Care Reimagined Speaker Series, leading up to Riordan Clinic’s Cancer Care Reimagined Conference this November.

Highlights include:

→ How integrative oncology bridges the gap between conventional and naturopathic medicine

→ The growing scientific understanding of tumor microenvironments and “terrain”

→ Why quality of life is inseparable from treatment success

→ How IV vitamin C and other natural therapies support anti-angiogenesis and recovery

→ Why collaboration — not competition — is the future of cancer care
