Cleveland Cavaliers Defeat Atlanta Hawks Thanks to Donovan Mitchell's Big Night and Jaylon Tyson's Big Moments

On this episode of Locked On Cavs, Danny Cunningham (The Inside Shot, Cleveland Magazine, 92.3 The Fan) breaks down the Cleveland Cavaliers' 117-109 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, analyzing Donovan Mitchell's dominant 37-point performance despite playing through illness and hamstring tightness. The podcast examines Jaylon Tyson's breakout 18-point game with five three-pointers, which Danny identifies as the second-best performance of the night and crucial to securing the win. Danny discusses the team's improved ball movement, recording 30 assists on 40 made baskets while forcing 22 turnovers, and explores how the Cavs are embracing a development process through unusual lineup combinations despite championship expectations. The episode also covers the team's rebounding improvement as a complete team effort, with contributions from Evan Mobley, De'Andre Hunter, Dean Wade, and Craig Porter Jr., and provides updates on Darius Garland's imminent return to the lineup after working out before the game.
