She talks about some of the training and races in the lead up to it, including overcoming the disappointment of her Zatopek performance. Caitlin shares her favourite training sessions, and how Team Tempo adjusted during the covid period. Caitlin recalls her experience representing Australia at the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus, Denmark going into mental preparation strategies and who she hopes to race against at Bathurst. She takes things back to when she got into running as a junior, out in regional South Australia and shares the culture and training structure within Team Tempo, wrapping up with her plans for the year ahead and how she unwinds away from running and teaching.

Julian tags along Ellie’s workout ahead of World Cross Country Trials. Brady’s also making progress in rebuilding fitness, with discussion on how to fit in doubles. The World Cross Country Trials at Stromlo Park took part, where the first 3 finishers in the Open 10k races secured automatic selections. Jack Rayner took it out after Matt Ramsden took the initiative early, with Brett Robinson coming third. Rorey Hunter, Andy Buchanan and Jackson Sharpe followed in the subsequent places, while their spots on the team are in contention. Rose Davies evened the score taking line honours ahead of Leanne Pompeani and Caitlin Adams. Izzy Batt-Doyle, Holly Campbell and Ellie Pashley finished in the subsequent places. The Cadbury Marathon in Hobart was won by Richard Egan in 2:40:04 and Leah Fitzgerald in 2:53:11. The Half Marathon was won by Aaron Harvey 1:08 over Nick Earl, while Vanessa Wilson won in 1:18. Cadbury Marathon Results    Surf Coast Track Club hosted the Geelong 5k/10k, starting with the A 5000m where Jess Stenson won over Ellie Pashley and Rachel McGuinness, while amongst the men it was Ben Beischer over Toby O’Brien and Olly Lewry. Dale Carroll was first in the 10000m in 30:08 over Nathan Stoat and Toby Menday, while Simone McInnes was first female in 36:16, ahead of Alexandria Anthony and Madeline Gwynne.
