Pre-Order Your Copy of Minimalist Moms: Living & Parenting with Simplicity-----------------------------Today is the fourth in a series called Minimalist Living. You’ll hear from minimalists living on boats, NYC, coverted-van living, and, on today’s episode, world travel, with the woman behind The Irish Mummy, Rosie Copp (and special guest, her husband Adam Copp). I told Rosie and Adam during the episode that I was pleasantly surprised where the conversation took us. Rosie spent some time discussing how she worked through decluttering sentimental items while grieving the loss of her mother. I appreciated her insight in this area and hope it helps anyone listening that may be going through the same process. As with each of these 'Minimalist Living' interviews, I loved hearing how minimalism has influenced life in these areas and my hope is that it encourages you in your own minimalist pursuits (or maybe even prompts you to change up your lifestyle- you never know)!Show Notes for EP162: Minimalist Living: World TravelEnjoy this Podcast?Learning how you can get rid of clutter and live an intentional and purposeful life has never been this simple. EP158: There's No Such Thing as Bad Weather with Linda McGurk
Pre-Order Your Copy of Minimalist Moms: Living & Parenting with Simplicity-----------------------------Have you heard of the line, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”? In a more straightforward manner it means: go outside. I love and agree with this notion as I try to get myself outside even when temperatures dip under freezing or quickly make me break a sweat due to humidity (which I prefer less than cold). Anyways, a couple of years ago, I stumbled upon the book, There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather: A Scandinavian Mom’s Secrets for Raising Healthy, Resilient, and Confident Kids. It changed my perspective when it came to getting my kids outside. I felt freer, and more accepting of dirt and mud. All of that to say, it’s quite cold in Ohio right now and I was thinking about how important it still is for children to get outside (even for just 15 minutes here and there) so I reached out to author, Linda McGurk to see if she’d join me to share about how we can encourage our children outside each day, the differences in American and Scandinavian parenting, how to manage weather extremes and much more...Show Notes for EP158: There's No Such Thing as Bad WeatherEnjoy this Podcast?Learning how you can get rid of clutter and live an intentional and purposeful life has never been this simple. Pre-Order Your Copy of Minimalist Moms: Living & Parenting with Simplicity-----------------------------As a society, we're obsessed with upgrading. Whether it's the latest smart phone, a new car, furniture, or home. We must 'keep up with the Jones' (and also, we just really like new and shiny things). As someone pursuing a minimalist lifestyle, it can be tough to hold back. That's why I asked fellow minimalist, Carleen Armstead (and special guest appearance from her husband) to discuss this very thing.Show Notes for EP157: To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade with Carleen ArmsteadEnjoy this Podcast?Learning how you can get rid of clutter and live an intentional and purposeful life has never been this simple.
