Kristen is making a fort out of the boxes Karen has had delivered and has some great reads lined up for her time off. Brittany doesn't know what to do with all of her free time so she is editing ReWatchable. Karen found some Christmas joy, but still hates bananas. Or is he... -We are introduced to the remaining members of the potential Slayer line as they arrive in Sunnydale. -Why haven't the Scoobies called LA, just to give Angel a heads up since he has interacted with the First before? -Buffy, Xander, and Willow seem so much older when compared to the potentials. -Giles and Anya go to see Beljoxa's Eye, and it tells them that Buffy's resurrection is the cause of the First's quest to wipe out the Slayers. -The First predates the written word. Talk about old. -Is Joyce actually Joyce? Or is she the First? -Nosferatu cannot be staked, but Holy Water does the trick. -Buffy gets her ass handed to her in their first confrontation. -And then she declares war on the First. They're not gonna take it... -Eve isn't really Eve! How many of these mistaken identity things are going to be the First? -Can the First be two people at once? Could it be both Giles and Eve at the same time? -Buffy, Willow, and Xander set up the Thunderdome battle to teach the potentials a lesson. -The First decides to use the appearance of Druscilla when torturing Spike. -Would drowning a vampire be torture? Natalie posted pics of a very cute puppy and a very scary spider. They are not getting the same level of love. Also, there's a handcrafted album of dog selfies at her residence that we all want to see. Ariana needed to discuss that Cordy/Angel conversation from last week's ep. Karen went on a Harry Potter bar crawl last night and it was everything. Buffy season 7, episode 7, "Conversations With Dead People": -Synopsis -This episode ranks high for both Karen and Natalie, even if Nat can't say exactly how high. -Four different writers wrote this episode. -Jane Espenson wrote Dawn's parts. -Drew Goddard wrote for the Trio. -Joss wrote the Buffy scenes. -Marti Noxon wrote for Willow. -Fun Fact! Amber Benson was supposed to return as Tara for the Willow scenes, but she wanted the pure goodness of Tara to remain untarnished. -We wish we could keep Holden, but alas, soulless vampires must be dusted. -Buffy has an inferiority complex about her superiority complex. -Spike isn't evil. He just can't be. We're putting our money on him being possessed by whatever evil thing haunted the others in this episode. -Dawn was badass in this episode. -"Buffy will not choose you. She will be against you." -Why wasn't Andrew even the slightest bit alarmed by Warren's presence?!?! -We are so mourning Jonathan. -Willow had us all emotional. -Favorite Scenes -Favorite Lines Angel season 4, episode 7, "Apocalypse, Nowish": -Synopsis -Angel is avoiding Cordy to delay his rejection as long as possible. :( -Cordy can't be real Cordy. She has to be a pod person. Or she's like Crazy Spike. -Lilah so thought she was getting the power back by dressing up as Fred...but then Wesley stole her thunder with just a few simple words. -Cordy can't "be with Angel" because she was a higher being and she saw everything Angel ever did as Angelus and felt all the hurt he inflicted on people. -WORST. PLOT. DEVICE. EVER. -Plus it makes no sense that she can remember everything that Angelus ever did, but can't remember how she was returned to the land of the living. So obviously a plot device. -Cordy and Connor have sex. He's losing his virginity to a very maternal figure and it's creepy and wrong and we just can't. -Cordy's visions are worsening. -BAM! The Beast has arrived and we have theories about why he left Cordy and Connor alive. -Gunn sees the bigger picture. Literally. -We miss Wes and Gunn's friendship. -Angel sees Cordy and Connor's sex. We weren't actually fooled. -Fred freaks out about Gunn's death, but not only in the way you'd imagine. -We are so appreciative of Fred's freak out. -Gwen restarts Angel's heart... -This whole heart beating thing seems significant, but they don't really address it. -Could this be tied to Spike's recent acquisition of his soul? -Wesley needs his big reunion moment already. -And we are so ready for him to put Lilah behind him and move on already. -Lilah stumbles upon Connor and Angel is quick to threaten her. -Connor has some stuff to work through, and we think being away from Angel and the pancake gang is good for him. -Angel wants his Cordy back. *Swoon* -Cordy may be a higher being, but she is so over it. -Favorite Scenes -Favorite Lines Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 7, episode 4, "Help": -Synopsis -First impressions: We are all fans of this episode. -Karen's Greek mythology knowledge comes in handy regarding Cassie the Seer. -This episode gave Mitch and Karen some major Push feelings. -Lots of small roles for the kids Buffy is counseling, and so many cameos from actors that we know now from other WB/CW shows. -We have lots of thoughts about the principal. Is he good? Evil? Something in between? -Willow is worried about helping with this Hellmouth problem. -Who is going to do Cassie in? -Dawn handles the crazy white boy. Go Dawn! -Spike is not dealing with things well.
