In episodes 76 and 77, I told you the heartbreaking story of two-year-old Dante Mullinix, who died just six days before his third birthday. Tyree Bowie, who was seeing Dante’s mother, Leah Mullinix, told police he thought Dante had choked on animal crackers, but Dante’s death was ruled a homicide caused by traumatic brain injury with strangulation and chest compression.Many believed Tyree was innocent, and recent events have proven that theory correct. Dante’s death was ruled a homicide caused by traumatic brain injury with strangulation and chest compression, but Dante’s head and body were also covered in bruises, and he suffered from an active case of herpes 2.My guest on today’s episode is Dante’s maternal aunt, Sarah Mullinix, who helped her sister raise Dante for all but the last three months of his life and petitioned the court for emergency custody of her nephew when she found out Leah and Dante were homeless. Even after his death, Sarah continues fighting for Dante. His mother’s boyfriend claimed Dante choked on animal crackers. Several days later, on September 15, 2018, Dante was pronounced dead. On July 15, 2020, Briseida and Sukhjinder Sran reported their two-year-old special needs son, Thaddeus, missing from the family’s new home in Madera, California. When the parents stopped cooperating with the police early in the investigation, Thaddeus’s parents came under suspicion, which only intensified after the public learned that the couple had another child, four-month-old Divina, who died five years earlier. After Thaddeus’s charred remains were found miles from home, Briseida and Sukhjinder were arrested.This is the story of two beautiful siblings who never had the chance to meet during their time on earth. I’ve spent weeks telling you about the countless alleged crimes committed by Susan Lee, formerly known as Susan Stevenson, Susan Cook, and Susan Kendzia.
