Episode 69: Eric Giessler - Feeling "Lesser" After 100 Mile Finish and Deciding To Go All In
For many of us, completing a 100 mile race represents a crowning achievement. But when Eric Giessler finished the Indiana Trail 100 last October (his first), he said he felt "lesser" rather than satisfied. Not because of his time or placing. But because his body's physical breakdown highlighted areas that he knew he had full control of and had not executed on. Strength and nutrition. So he went all in! Take us on your long run to hear why he was so humbled on the course, what changes he has incorporated since (hint: it includes Ethiopian flour and stronger quads), and what races he has coming up to put those changes to the test. This was such a great conversation! As always, be sure to let us know what you think and enjoy the episode! #JustShowUp Checkout more from The Ultra Running Guys: Website: www.theultrarunningguys.com Race: The Hydra - April 22, 2023 Race: The Final Countdown - September 16, 2023 Patreon: www.patreon.com/theultrarunningguys
