Ireland's Vanishing Triangle
From 1993 to 1998, at least eight women disappeared within an 80-mile radius of Dublin. Police were stumped at the complete lack of evidence suggesting where the women could be or who could be involved. Irish police undertook searches and made widespread public appeals for information in most cases. Law enforcement treated each case individually, but in the eyes of the public, there seemed to be a possible connection. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the baffling mystery of Ireland's vanishing triangle. Over the years, several persons of interest were identified. These ranged from the victim's partners to suggesting that a serial offender could be responsible. In one case, charges were filed twice but then dropped. No one else has been charged to date due to the absence of any strong evidence directly linking anyone to the disappearances. With no bodies recovered, frustrating questions remain for the victims' families. Candace Hiltz
In 2006, 17-year-old Candace Hiltz was found murdered in the family home by her mother. Candace's brother James became the prime suspect. James had an extreme anxiety disorder that left him unable to even live in the family home. He lived in a building by himself behind the house. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious murder of Candace Hiltz. There were a couple of disturbing incidents that preceded Candace's murder. One involved a Freemont County deputy named Robert Dodd where Candace accused Dodd of taking payments from drug dealers. Over the years, many have theorized that Dodd was somehow involved in the murder. This was only strengthened when a storage shed rented by Dodd was uncovered that held evidence from not only Candace's case but many others as well.
