Teekah Lewis
"I turned my head for less than a minute and she was gone. Someone had to pick her up and run out the door."On the evening of January 23rd, 1999, two-year-old Teekah Lewis was abducted from the New Frontier Lanes bowling alley in Tacoma, WA. Teekah's family had been watching the child walk back-and-forth from the arcade just feet away from them, and in the 10-15 seconds that the child was unsupervised that night, she would disappear. Almost immediately, police suspected foul play. Within days, they had become reasonably certain that this was a rare case of stranger abduction...Researched, written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicTheme music created and composed by Ailsa TravesProducers: Ben Krokum, Gabriella Bromley, Quil Carter, Laura Hannan, Damion Moore, Amy Hampton, Scott Meesey, Steven Wilson, Travis Scsepko, Scott Patzold, Marie Vanglund, Astrid Kneier, Aimee McGregor, Bryan Hall, Sydney Scotton, Sara Moscaritolo, Sue Kirk, Thomas Ahearn, Marion Welsh, Seth Morgan, Jo Wong, Alyssa Lawton, Patrick Laakso, Kevin McCracken, Meadow Landry, Tatum Bautista, Michele Watson, Teunia Elzinga, Ryan Green, Dawn Kellar, Stephanie Joyner, gravityheadzero, Elissa Hampton-Dutro, Ruth Durbin, and Sally RanfordLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron or ProducerThis episode is sponsored by SimpliSafe. GirlsDoPorn
In 2013, a website featuring amateur pornography began making headlines across the United States - and later, the world. Founded by New Zealander Michael Pratt in 2006, GirlsDoPorn was billed early on as "a reality website that features 18-21 year old females making their very first adult videos." For the next decade, Pratt would attempt to build an empire, recruiting his childhood friend Matthew Wolfe in 2011 and aspiring actor Ruben "Andre" Garcia later that same year to help him achieve his goals. But by 2016, dozens of women featured on the site would turn against these three and the other employees of GirlsDoPorn, revealing that they had built nothing more than a criminal enterprise centered around fraud, deceptive practices, and malice...Researched, written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicTheme music created and composed by Ailsa TravesProducers: Roberta Janson, Ben Krokum, Gabriella Bromley, Peggy Belarde, Quil Carter, Laura Hannan, Damion Moore, Brittany Norris, Amy Hampton, Steven Wilson, Scott Meesey, Marie Vanglund, Scott Patzold, Astrid Kneier, Travis Scsepko, Aimee McGregor, Sydney Scotton, Sara Moscaritolo, Sue Kirk, Thomas Ahearn, Bryan Hall, Seth Morgan, Marion Welsh, Jo Wong, Patrick Laakso, Alyssa Lawton, Meadow Landry, Tatum Bautista, Teunia Elzinga, Michele Watson, Ryan Green, Stephanie Joyner, Dawn Kellar, Elissa Hampton-Dutro, Ryan Durbin, and Sally RanfordLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron or ProducerThis episode is sponsored by BetterHelp, who offer online counseling services. Matt Stewart
In the early morning hours of June 9th, 2009, a violent home invasion would take place in Mooresville, North Carolina. Just after midnight, Matt and Angel Stewart were sleeping when an unknown individual opened fire on them from their bedroom doorway. Angel grabbed the couple's young son, who was also asleep in the room, and began running to a neighbor's house; while 31-year-old Matt - who had already been shot - jumped out of bed and heroically attacked the gunman. Hours later, Matt's body would be found inside of the home, having become the victim of a mysterious and violent crime. But more than a decade later, questions continue to linger about what really happened that evening and why...Special thanks to Freddie Wilson from the Unforgotten podcast for chatting with me, and for all of the research he has done on this case (without which, this episode would not have been possible).
