I’m Not Watching This, Gerald

I’m Not Watching This, Gerald

The mood was good... and then Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen happened. David Mooney is joined by Paul Hirst from The Times and, from the City Ramble podcast, Amos Murphy to try and work out what on earth went wrong this week.
Pep Guardiola made ten changes to the team for the Champions League and the performance was pretty disjoined... He admitted afterwards it might have been a misstep, but did he also not get much help from the players he gave opportunities to?
Then there was the VAR decisions at St James's Park that ignored a potential penalty on Phil Foden and that caused anger with an offside in the build-up to the winning goal.
With Leeds and Fulham to come, we also hear from Calum Archibald who contributes to the Leeds website The Square Ball and from Sammy James who is part of the Fulhamish podcast.

A Creature Made in a Lab by Evil Genius Scientists

A Creature Made in a Lab by Evil Genius Scientists

David Mooney is joined by City fans Chris Higginbottom and, from StatCity.co.uk, Adam Carter, to reflect on the team's 3-0 win at Wolves. Are we now watching a different style of City, which is making us feel like the team have less control of games? Or is it just that City haven't hit their stride yet this season? Either way, they're winning games, so it can only be a positive! Erling Haaland continues to impress and we focus on Jack Grealish, as he played at Molineux like a weight was lifted from his shoulders -- Sam Roscoe is examining his and Pep Guardiola's recent comments about the winger's form. We also hear from Tony Sharkey, the football agent who ALMOST got Pep Guardiola to City a decade before he ended up joining the club.
