Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible | Week 10: Part 1 | John 4-8 | The Water of Life & Light of the World

Welcome back to the Sleepy Scriptures One-Year Bible, where the King James Bible is read softly and slowly with calming background music to ease your mind and lift your spirit.
In tonight’s peaceful reading, we spend time in the Gospel of John, chapters 4 through 8, a deeply comforting portion of Scripture where Jesus reveals His compassion, power, and divine identity.
We sit with Jesus at the well in Samaria, where He offers living water that quenches every thirsty soul. We witness His healing power as He restores the nobleman’s son and gives strength to a man who had suffered for thirty-eight years.
As we move through these chapters, Jesus teaches of His unity with the Father, feeds the five thousand, walks upon the sea, and proclaims Himself to be the Bread of Life. The reading concludes with His tender mercy toward the woman taken in adultery and His shining declaration: “I am the light of the world.”

Let these words settle gently into your evening, guiding your heart toward peace, rest, and renewed trust in the One who gives life abundantly.
