Freak Slug is the project of multi-disciplinary artist Xenya Genovese, from Manchester. In 2025, she has been making waves across Australia, the UK, Europe, and the US with a series of standout festival and tour appearances. Creating music that blends 90s rock influences with dreamy, experimental sounds, her latest EP, Loose Tooth and a Short Skirt, has established her as one of the most exciting emerging alternative acts. In this episode, Freak Slug shares the songs she especially loves to party to, featuring tracks by The Rolling Stones, Black Kids, Nirvana, Prewn, and more.
