Gabe Ferguson | The Bomb Hole Episode 147

Making first turns at 4 and having a breakout year in halfpipe at just 15 its safe to say Gabe was a child prodigy, following his brother Ben’s lead and even beating him at the US Open in 2016, while most riders have to claw their way the scene sacrificing everything along the way all Gabe did was cruise around following his brother and pretty much by osmosis he was starting to place at contest and before he knew it had a name for himself an agent and what looked to be like a real career forming. We talk growing up in Bend, why SLC is better then Bend, contests, halfpipe riding, Brown Cinema, child prodigy, riding with Ben, contests vs. Filming, staying chill and so much more. The only problem with Gabe’s rise to the top was he was just not a competitive person by nature, sure winning felt great and going huge was amazing but the truth was this was just not fun for him. It wasn’t long until his fresh style got him some attention outside of contests and he got the opportunity to film. Filming was where it was at for Gabe and he quickly faded away from the contest scene starting a new chapter in his career.
