Trump's State of the Union Address fails to impress

Trump's State of the Union Address fails to impress

Yesterday evening, President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union Address from the House Chamber, where he boasted about how, during his presidency, the US has achieved economic gains and international domination.

In some standout moments from the evening, Democratic Representatives protested the President in various ways, the most notable of which included Representative Al Green of Texas being escorted out of the Chamber floor for holding a sign saying "Black people aren't apes".

Although this address may not have performed proper damage control for the heat the President is receiving in the media, he did still manage to make history. The President delivered an hour and 48-minute-long speech – trumping one given by Bill Clinton in 2000 by nearly 20 minutes– even if 20 of those minutes came from Republicans giving him a standing ovation every few seconds.
