Luke: Christmas In the Fall - Luke 2:1-21

This Sunday, we continue with the Gospel of Luke by looking at the story of Jesus's birth written from Luke's perspective after interviewing many witnesses of Jesus's life and ministry that was intended to be written for Theophilus. In this particular passage of Jesus's birth in the manger, it's notable that Jesus, the firstborn son of Mary and Joseph and also the Son of God, was born in the lowliest of all places in a manger where shepherds, the first witnesses of his birth, were located. He wasn't born anywhere fancy and extravagant, but at the lowliest of all places, and history would later reveal what was to come.
