THE QUANTUM PAPERS FILE 014: THE CHARACTER AUDIT

THE AUDIT:Is God actually "Good"? Most of us admit there is probably a Creator, but we aren't sure we like Him. We see a God who draws hard lines about money, sex, and pride, and we wonder: "Did He build me with these desires just so He could judge me for having them?" In this file, we move past the Sunday School answers to audit the actual character of the Architect.

KEY DATA POINTS:

The "Nuremberg" Problem: Why we all believe in a "Higher Law." We look at why "Good" isn't just a matter of opinion, and why our sense of justice proves we are tuned to the Creator’s frequency.
The Surgeon Paradox: We look at the difference between a murderer and a surgeon. Both use a knife, but one cuts to save. We explore why God’s "rules" are actually a doctor’s orders to get the "cancer" of sin out of our lives.
The "1% Sewage" Logic: Why being a "generally good person" isn't enough to enter a perfect Heaven. We look at why God has to be a protector of the "sterile room" and why He won't let our pride ruin the next world.
The Robot Dilemma: If God knew we would mess up the system, why didn't He stop us? We look at why real love requires the freedom to choose, and why God didn't want a universe full of biological robots.

THE VERDICT:God isn't "safe," but He is Good. He isn't a tame pet who validates all our choices; He is the only Surgeon who lays down His own life to save the patient. We look at the choice between the Cure and the Quarantine.
