This research file continues after the catastrophic events surrounding Cognivar and the unraveling of Merrick’s fractured reality.

Lost within shifting identities, collapsing memories, and fabricated worlds, Merrick finds himself slipping further away from what little humanity he has left. Strange figures emerge from the cracks in his mind. Familiar voices return from places that should no longer exist. And something ancient continues digging deeper into the vessel it now inhabits.

As realities distort and consciousness fractures, an unexpected presence reaches out from the darkness. A ghost from Merrick’s past. A remnant he believed long dead.

But some things do not stay buried.

Inside the chaos of collapsing mental prisons, a battle for control begins. Not just over a body… but over the very concept of identity itself.

In this file, memories become weapons, fractured minds become battlegrounds, and the line between salvation and surrender begins to disappear.

Some doors are opened willingly.

Others are forced apart from the inside.

And sometimes… stepping into the light means letting something else take your place.
