No rest day for - (stop it, stop it right now - Ed.) Two down, one to go and Chris, David and Gary have much to discuss after a week that began smack in the middle of France and ended knocking like a new salesman at the front door of the Alps.

Speaking of Alps, the team also looks breathlessly ahead to a final week that serves up a generous portion of the things, but only after a none-too trifling aperitif against the clock.

📸 Even the Cannibal needed a day off, but this one is particularly notable. The second rest day of the 1975 Tour came immediately after THAT stage on the Puy du Dome when Merckx was punched by a spectator while leading the race. Merckx finished third that day, losing over 30s to Bernard Thevenet and would cede the Maillot Jaune to the Frenchman on the following stage. (Jean-Pierre Prevel/Getty)
