According to the recorded interview played during the preliminary hearing, Robinson became emotional, said he wished he had not done it and discussed surrendering to authorities. Prosecutors also presented an alleged handwritten note left for Twiggs and text messages discussing Robinson’s motive, the engraved ammunition and his concern about recovering the abandoned rifle. Taken together, those statements allegedly describe conduct before, during and after the shooting in language attributable directly to Robinson rather than merely placing him near the scene.
