What d4vd's Postmates Receipt Revealed About The Day After Celeste Died

The preliminary hearing in the d4vd murder case began with testimony that laid out a digital and financial trail prosecutors allege leads directly to David Anthony Burke. Detective Joshua Byers of LAPD Robbery-Homicide testified about purchases made under aliases, paid with Burke's own accounts, and delivered to his own home in the weeks and months following the alleged death of fourteen-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The prosecution walked the court through each purchase in chronological order — from a shovel acquired the day after the alleged killing to a burn cage ordered three months later. Prosecutors also played body camera footage from a welfare check fourteen months before Celeste's death, during which Burke allegedly told deputies he barely knew the girl and that she claimed to be an adult.

Financial manager Benjamin Greger testified that Burke earned between ten and eleven million dollars in gross income during the relevant period. He described a shift to encrypted messaging platforms within Burke's management team after the remains were discovered, and discussions about moving assets. Greger acknowledged he is still retained by Burke's family at $7,500 per month.

Defense attorney Blair Berk cross-examined on evidence preservation, focusing on items that were not collected or further tested after initial screenings. The hearing continues with additional witnesses expected over multiple days.
