The Purpose of Education

What is the purpose of education? Is it for our kids to be able to memorize and regurgitate information on a test? Is it so they can pass a test? What happens when a school dumbs down a test for a high school senior that a first grader should be able to pass? We talk about some of the unknown and crazy things going on in schools across the US, the literacy rates, the results of 60 years of sex education, and more. Who should be teaching our kids? The UN would like to be in charge of all the schooling for all students around the world. Many countries and some states in the US have made homeschooling illegal or more difficult to do. We talk about homeschooling results, some of the options available if you want to homeschool your kids, and some of the protections out there for parents to be able to have more control over the education and well-being of their kids. We also cover how technology is affecting the education of our youth.
