Nineteen million dollars. That is what an Interscope executive testified d4vd's contract was potentially worth. His financial manager said he had already earned more than ten million. Prosecutors say Celeste Rivas Hernandez was fourteen years old and threatening to talk — and that the money is the reason she is dead.

Over five days, prosecutors laid out a timeline that allegedly begins when Celeste was eleven and ends with her remains in a Tesla trunk while d4vd headlined festivals and appeared on late-night television. The evidence included chainsaws, bodycam footage, an inflatable pool, texts about an abortion, and a notarized form from her parents permitting her to travel overseas with him.
