#0403 - Who Stinks Worse: Spider-Man or Batman? - 08/04/2026

This episode begins with what should have been a wholesome "good morning" and immediately detonates into absolute feline warfare after a woman mistakes a random black cat for her own and gets turned into human scratching post confetti. Naturally, Viktor follows this masterpiece with his own near-catastrophic encounter, spending several minutes screaming "KOOPA!" at a complete stranger's cat in the middle of the street before realizing he'd almost volunteered himself as fresh meat. From there the show spirals into caffeine withdrawals, laundry mountain warfare, existential Tuesday depression, and an increasingly desperate attempt to survive another workday without becoming a menace to society. Somehow this seamlessly transitions into a naked man claiming to be Jesus crashing directly into a Detroit church, leading to comparisons with Breaking Bad, discussions about fake mental health escapes, and the realization that church architecture is apparently no match for divine horsepower.

Then the show decides to declare war on alcohol, bars, and basically every nightclub playlist ever created. Viktor tries to solve why Gen Z isn't drinking by blaming terrifyingly strong liquor, traumatized childhoods, and bars that refuse to stop blasting forty-year-old classic rock. This somehow mutates into a full investigation into whether Lemmy from Motörhead actually hated Tool, resulting in an obsessive internet rabbit hole that ends with absolutely no answers, only growing frustration and an accidental keyboard shortcut that murders the browser instead of solving the mystery. Sleep Token gets dragged into the conversation, Caramel becomes the world's most confusing hit song, and rock music somehow becomes the victim of a secret musical conspiracy determined to replace guitars with endless pop stars and country playlists.

Just when reality seems like it might recover, Freak News arrives carrying enough insanity to permanently damage civilization. A forgotten World War II ammunition depot explodes during a forest fire because apparently entire warehouses full of explosives can simply vanish from government memory. That naturally leads into a discussion about how governments probably aren't capable of maintaining massive conspiracies because they literally forget where they leave bombs. Then comes Atlas of Surveillance, police technology that sounds ripped straight from dystopian science fiction, license plate scanners, hidden surveillance tools, and a passionate promise to interrogate Lieutenant Crane about exactly how many futuristic gadgets law enforcement secretly owns. Before your brain can process any of that, a man is caught trying to smuggle thirty-four thousand dollars worth of cocaine underneath what may be the most suspicious toupee ever manufactured by mankind, creating a hairstyle so enormous that airport security could probably see it from orbit.

The nightmare carnival somehow gets worse as Sharkzilla enters the chat. Marine biologists are tracking a gigantic shark that left monster-sized bite marks on whales and seals, prompting discussions about radioactive mutations, leaking nuclear waste, flesh-eating bacteria, toxic algae blooms, and why absolutely nobody should ever enter natural bodies of water again unless they secretly want to become seafood. Beaches are officially canceled. Oceans are canceled. Swimming is canceled. Existing near anything wet is now considered an unnecessary risk thanks to a shark that sounds like it escaped a SyFy movie after eating uranium for breakfast.

Meanwhile Facebook Marketplace attempts to bankrupt Viktor by tempting him with an irresistible pile of Stephen King books while Mount Laundry continues evolving into its own independent mountain range. The internal debate over whether to bring home thirty more books despite already living inside a collapsing literary avalanche becomes one of the episode's greatest emotional conflicts. Somewhere in the middle of all this, a movie theater in Colombia is allegedly evacuated because someone unleashes a Hulk-level biological weapon disguised as a fart, causing a discussion that somehow escalates into determining which superhero costume would become the most horrifying sweat-soaked biohazard after fighting crime all day. Batman's rubber suit becomes a portable swamp ecosystem, Spider-Man ferments inside his own spandex prison, Wolverine marinates in blood and animal guts, Deadpool becomes a walking chemical weapon, and suddenly nobody wants to meet their childhood heroes ever again.

The insanity refuses to slow down as Mario Lopez gets dragged into internet controversy after posting an unbelievably creepy AI-generated video involving his niece, opening the floodgates to conversations about AI slop, celebrity weirdness, TikTok content farms, bizarre influencer behavior, and how desperately social media demands endless content regardless of how uncomfortable it becomes. Peaches contributes conspiracy theories, questionable celebrity observations, and somehow turns Mario Lopez into the latest stop on the express train to internet discomfort.

As if humanity hadn't already suffered enough, the show launches a full-scale assault on suburban lawns. Perfect green grass is declared an environmental crime against bees, butterflies, water supplies, drought-stricken states, and common sense itself. Fertilizer becomes the villain. Weed killer becomes radioactive poison. Dandelions become heroes. Bees become the last remaining defenders of civilization. Neighbors who obsess over immaculate lawns become accidental eco-villains while dead grass is celebrated as an act of environmental rebellion. Before anyone can recover, a homeowner gets arrested after turning his yard into a medieval spike trap to stop neighborhood kids from cutting across the lawn, proving once again that absolutely nobody handles minor inconveniences with reasonable solutions anymore.

By the time the episode limps toward its conclusion, dead animals on Facebook, rattlesnakes, hunting ethics, Mitch McConnell conspiracy jokes, AI memes, dessert shops, mini golf, Stephen King addictions, booze-free living, random bookstore temptations, and baked peaches have all collided into one magnificent dumpster fire. Every topic somehow mutates into something even stranger than the last until the entire show feels less like a radio program and more like someone accidentally left twenty browser tabs, three conspiracy documentaries, Shark Week, Facebook Marketplace, Reddit, and caffeine withdrawal alone in a room together for four straight hours. Against all scientific explanation, it somehow works—and leaves listeners wondering whether tomorrow's episode will feature radioactive lawnmowers, cocaine-filled superhero costumes, or a church being attacked by Sharkzilla wearing Batman's sweaty rubber suit.
