Episode 548 - Unwritten Rules of Modern Etiquette That Make Absolutely Zero Sense

Doug and Justin open with a question that immediately goes somewhere real: what is an unwritten rule of modern etiquette that you actively choose to ignore because it makes zero logical sense? Doug's answer is immediate and unapologetic. Three months salary for an engagement ring is a number a diamond company invented and everyone just accepted it. From there the conversation spirals into a full-scale examination of wedding culture that is equal parts frustrated and fair.

From there the guys shift into movie talk. Doug gives his take on Spider-Man Brand New Day, then goes deep on Curry Barker's horror hit Obsession, currently streaming on Peacock, and the WWII weathermen drama Pressure starring Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott. That leads into a comparison with other WWII films including Hacksaw Ridge and Fury.

Then: the Urban Dictionary game returns for another round. This episode's terms include Chud Run, Industrial Strip, Lincoln Memorial, Big Jebediah Doink, and Birdbath. Justin's definitions are wrong in the most creative ways possible. Doug censors himself for the first time in 548 episodes while trying to string them all into a sentence. History is made.
