Alabama Executes Jeremy Williams at Holman Correctional Facility on Aug. 13, 2026

Jeremy Williams was executed by lethal injection at the Holman Correctional Facility in Alabama on August 13, 2026, with his time of death officially recorded at 6:16 p.m. CDT.

The 41-year-old was found guilty of the kidnapping, rape, sodomy, and strangulation murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland in December 2021. Williams hastened his own execution by dismissing his legal representation, foregoing his usual post-conviction appeals, and persistently urging the state to execute his death sentence without delay.

In December 2021, Kamarie Holland disappeared from her residence in Columbus, Georgia. Investigators uncovered that her mother, Kristy Siple, had sold the child to Williams in exchange for financial compensation. Williams sexually assaulted and strangled the 5-year-old in an abandoned house in Phenix City, Alabama, where her remains were subsequently found.

In March 2024, Williams entered a guilty plea to four charges of capital murder, rape, sodomy, and human trafficking. Due to Alabama law requiring a jury verdict to impose the death penalty, a brief trial was conducted in which jurors examined video evidence of the crimes recorded by Williams himself. The jury deliberated for 90 minutes before convicting him on all charges, resulting in his death sentence in April 2024.

During the court proceedings, evidence was presented that highlighted Williams' extensive history of child abuse, including admissions regarding the 2005 murder of his own 1-month-old daughter in Alaska and the sexual assault of his 5-year-old stepdaughter.
The Co-Defendant Sentencing Kamarie's mother, Kristy Siple, pleaded guilty to human sex trafficking for her involvement in the crime and is currently serving a 20-year prison term.

Following the execution, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey released a statement condemning the crime as "evil," emphasizing that the "unspeakable nature of this crime is precisely why we have the death penalty statute in the state of Alabama."
With the reinstatement of capital punishment and the commencement of monitoring, Alabama has carried out a minimum of 70 lethal injections, contributing to a total of 83 executions since 1983, with the remaining executions employing alternative methods or nitrogen gas.
