A Vision for Transformation

A Vision for Transformation

What if the greatest need of the Church today isn't better strategy, stronger programs, or more activity, but a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit?

In this message, Connor explores Acts 19 and asks the same question the Apostle Paul asked believers in Ephesus: "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"

Through the stories of Ephesus, Antioch, and the early Church, Connor paints a compelling vision of what becomes possible when ordinary people learn to live filled, led, and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Rather than striving to impress God or manufacture spiritual experiences, followers of Jesus are invited into a life of surrender, intimacy, and daily dependence on His presence.

In this message, you'll discover:

  • Why Paul considered the evidence of the Holy Spirit more important than religious activity or doctrine alone
  • What Acts 19 reveals about the transformational potential of a Spirit-filled Church
  • Why repentance, effort, and good intentions cannot produce the Christian life
  • The invitation Jesus gave His disciples to wait before attempting to change the world
  • How modern believers can rediscover the lost practice of waiting on the Holy Spirit
  • The difference between pursuing visible success and cultivating genuine spiritual fruit
  • Why the Kingdom of God is described as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit
  • What it looks like to move from performance, pressure, and striving into rest, intimacy, and abiding
  • How communities shaped by the Spirit become places where broken stories are redeemed, destinies are restored, and cities can be transformed

Connor challenges the Church to reconsider what it means to measure spiritual maturity. Rather than chasing hype, activity, or external metrics, he invites believers back to the simplicity of hosting God's presence, yielding to His leadership, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape every area of life.

Because the Christian life was never intended to be sustained by human effort. It was always meant to be supernatural by nature, a glorious adventure of walking with Jesus, living from the overflow of His love, and becoming a witness of His Kingdom everywhere we go.
