Riffs, Wrath, And Destiny With JURGEN BREFORTH From MAD MAX

Riffs, Wrath, And Destiny With JURGEN BREFORTH From MAD MAX

If you call yourself a fan of traditional, hard-hitting German rock and power metal, then the name Mad Max should already be permanently tattooed onto your musical psyche. For over four decades, these absolute legends have been tearing up stages and delivering riffs that could shatter concrete. They are a band that refuses to slow down, refuses to compromise, and quite frankly, they just keep getting better with age. Now, they are back to reclaim their throne with a brand-new slab of audio warfare titled Stories Of Destiny, and let me tell you, it is an absolute monster of a record.
From the second you drop the needle on this bad boy, you are hit with that classic, unmistakable Mad Max DNA—thunderous rhythms, soaring anthemic vocals, and guitar solos so blistering they will melt your face clean off. But Stories Of Destiny isn't just a nostalgia trip; it is a vital, forward-surging masterclass in how to keep heavy music alive and kicking in the modern era. It is cinematic, it is emotionally charged, and it proves that the creative fire burning inside this band is hotter than ever before.
I had the absolute privilege of sitting down with the driving force behind Mad Max - Jürgen Breforth - to dissect the blood, sweat, and tears that went into forging this new masterpiece. We talk about the concepts behind the tracks, the evolution of their signature sound, and exactly what it takes to maintain this level of ferocious energy after forty years in the game. So, crank your speakers up to eleven, crack open a cold one, and get ready. Heavy Metal Thunder is about to strike. Welcome to the world of Mad Max and the Stories Of Destiny!
"I have to say it's kind of an anniversary album you know," Jürgen began, "because I founded the band in 1981 and now 45 years later I'm celebrating 45 years with the band but I didn't want to call it anniversary album that's too simple for me and my drummer axel cruise who's with me for 40 years now he joined the band in 85. He came up with the title Stories of Destiny, and that pretty much nails the story of the album because each and every song on the album stands for a kind of a decade of the band."
