For years, women disappeared from the streets of Cleveland, many of their cases receiving little attention. Then, in 2009, police entered Anthony Sowell’s home on Imperial Avenue and discovered the remains of 11 women. In this rewind episode from 2018, Wendy and Beth examine the crimes of the so-called Cleveland Strangler, the women whose lives he took, the survivors who tried to sound the alarm, and the failures that allowed a killer to hide in plain sight.
