Jesus, however, perfectly trusts the Father under the greatest possible pressure. He faces Satan's temptations, human opposition, and ultimately the cross without abandoning His mission.

The Assyrian army surrounds Jerusalem and demands surrender; Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing that death awaits Him, yet He willingly surrenders Himself—not to His enemies, but to the Father's will. Through His death and resurrection, Christ wins the victory that no earthly army could ever achieve.
