In this episode, we're going through those allegations and comparing them with what actually happened, what we personally witnessed, and the reality we experienced behind closed doors. What was alleged? But what REALLY happened? The four of us talk openly about the claims that were made, the events surrounding them, the details that were misunderstood or misrepresented, and what it feels like when an allegation can take on a life of its own.Then, toward the end of the episode, we step outside of our own story and look at the bigger picture.We examine publicly available CPS and child-welfare statistics and discuss the difference between a **report, an allegation, an investigation, and a final finding**—because those terms don't all mean the same thing. Federal NCANDS data actually tracks these stages separately, including referrals that are screened out, reports that are investigated or assessed, and final dispositions such as substantiated, indicated, unsubstantiated, and closed with no finding. Protecting children matters. So does getting the truth right. We're sharing our experiences, memories, perspectives, and the information available to us so that you can hear our side, look at the information, and make up your own mind
