Diplomatic relations between Britain and Israel take a dive

Lester Kiewit speaks to Daniel Levy, President of US Middle East Project, who has previously served as an Israeli negotiator in peace talks with Palestinian leaders under Israeli Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin and again under Ehud Barak. They discuss the recent political standoff between Britain and Israel following the announcement by British Foreign Secretary Ed Milliband of a sweeping new package of sanctions targeting illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, which was met in turn by Israel ordering the closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem within 30 days, as well as ordering the removal of British representatives from a Gaza aid coordination centre and slapped entry bans on 11 British lawmakers, including former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
