Willam talks Anna Nicole! Also: Eating Contest, Tongue Piercing, Broadway Reviews, Catching a Cold

“What do you get when you mix Anna Nicole Smith chaos, Willam Drag Race energy, a 20-minute sick-day monologue about Texas weddings, and three Broadway reviews? The perfect Show Pony episode.”

“Willam was THERE during Anna Nicole’s iconic era, and today he breaks down the real tea — plus we dive into the eating contest scandal that deserves its own docuseries.”

Welcome back to Show Pony, Episode 3! Today is a fever dream — literally. I’m sick with a full-body cold, recording from my bedroom like a quarantined Victorian gay man. BUT the show must go on, and I open with a 20-minute monologue about my niece’s Texas wedding, why I would rather attend a funeral than a wedding, and my weekly theatre reviews: Oh Mary! with Jane Krakowski & Cheyenne Jackson, Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York, and Queens. Then — the main event. WILLAM (yes, THAT Willam from RuPaul’s Drag Race, A Star Is Born, EastSiders, and general gay chaos deity) joins me from Brooklyn to talk: His memories of Anna Nicole Smith What she was really like off-camera The infamous eating contest episode Howard accusing Anna of vomiting to win, and Anna insisting she just “took a shit” Kimee getting her tongue pierced Early 2000s reality-TV insanity Drag Race culture, Bravo crossover fans, and queer fame in NYC If you love Drag Race, Willam, Bravo, Anna Nicole Smith, reality TV, gay comedy, drag queens, or unhinged pop-culture deep dives, the algorithm absolutely wants you here.
