Sunday Mornings: Let Your Worries Settle Like Snow

Sunday Mornings: Let Your Worries Settle Like Snow

Hey there, friend. Julia here. Welcome back to Relaxation. I'm so glad you're here, especially on a Sunday morning like this one. You know, early September Sundays have this particular energy, don't they? There's this push-pull between wanting to rest and feeling like you should be doing something. So if you're sitting here with that knot of tension in your shoulders, that gentle anxiety humming in the background, I see you. Today, we're going to let that all soften. Before we dive in, find yourself somewhere quiet. Somewhere that feels even a little bit safe. Maybe you're on your couch, maybe you're still in bed, maybe you've stolen five minutes in your car. Wherever you are is exactly right. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Notice if you're clenching your jaw, and if you are, just gently let your tongue rest flat on the bottom of your mouth. Already, your nervous system is getting the memo. Now, let's anchor into your breath. Not to change it, not to control it, just to notice it. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four. Hold it for four. Out through your mouth for six. That longer exhale, that's the magic. That's where relaxation lives. In for four, hold for four, out for six. Let's do that three more times together. Really feel your belly rise. Feel that sigh on the exhale, like you're releasing something you've been carrying. Okay, here's where we go deeper. I want you to imagine your whole body is like a snow globe that's been shaken up. All those little flakes are your tension, your worries, your to-do lists. Every time you exhale, those flakes settle down a little bit more. They're drifting down, down, down. Your forehead softens. Your chest opens. Your hands, resting in your lap or at your sides, feel heavier. Warmer. With each breath out, you're watching all that busyness settle to the bottom of the globe. By the time we're done, it's going to be still. Crystal clear. Keep breathing. In for four, hold for four, out for six. There's nowhere to go. Nothing to prove. Just you and this moment, this beautiful, uncomplicated moment. As we close, carry this with you. When you stand up, when you move into your day, see if you can take that exhale with you. One long, gentle sigh whenever you need it. It's your portable peace button. Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. For choosing relaxation. If this resonated with you, please subscribe so you never miss a practice. You deserve this. Take care. For great deals today, check out https://amzn.to/47ZqpWT
