Following their triumphant return with the studio album Better Days last year, the band has just dropped the definitive statement of their comeback: Better Days (Deluxe), via the heavyweights at Better Noise Music. This isn’t your standard, lazy cash-grab re-release with a couple of rough acoustic throwaways tagged onto the end. This digital expansion is a massive 14-track powerhouse that acts as a living, breathing testimony to the band's evolution. It features mammoth collaborations with the likes of Avril Lavigne, Matt Skiba, Good Charlotte, and Steve Aoki, expanding their classic sonic blueprint into heavier, uncharted territory.
At the center of this whirlwind is the band's secret weapon, violinist and rock legend Sean Mackin. For over two decades, Mackin’s soaring, melodic violin lines have given Yellowcard a unique, distinct edge in a genre flooded with three-chord clones. On Better Days (Deluxe), his performance is tighter, sharper, and more emotionally resonant than ever before.
A massive piece of the puzzle on this record is the inclusion of the brand-new track Calvary Drive - a song that holds a deeply special place in the band's current chapter. As the very first demo the band worked on alongside powerhouse producer and blink-182 drumming icon Travis Barker, it was the definitive spark that lit the fire for the entire album.
